Make energy easy
ARERA Smart was designed to meet the growing need for households to
better understand their energy consumption and navigate their often
complex bills. By leveraging the 2G Smart Meter and AI technology,
ARERA Smart not only allows users to easily monitor their energy usage
but also predicts future consumption, offering insights into how much
energy they are likely to use. This makes managing energy efficient
and straightforward, transforming bill reading into an engaging and
even enjoyable experience.
At the end of each month, users can access SmartBill, a concise
summary of their energy bill. Through simple and intuitive
comparisons, they can easily see if their consumption stayed below
the AI forecast, earning them recognition as an "excellent consumer"
for the month. To visually represent how efficiently users are
consuming, Homie—the app’s mascot—was created. Homie changes color
and expression to reflect the user's consumption efficiency, making
it easy and engaging to track progress in a fun, visual way.
Real-time energy consumption
The goal of ARERA Smart is to make energy awareness accessible to
everyone. The home screen continuously displays real-time energy
consumption, along with how much the user is saving compared to the
AI's monthly forecast, encouraging more efficient energy use. This
clear, actionable insight motivates users to consume less and manage
their energy more wisely.
Within the app, users can choose their preferred unit of measurement,
either in kWh or euros, simplifying the data while tailoring it to
individual preferences. In the Peers section, users can compare their
consumption in kWh against others with similar lifestyles, offering
valuable context for understanding their own energy use.
To further gamify savings, users can also compare their consumption with friends and family, creating a fun, competitive environment to encourage mutual improvement. In the Analytics section, users gain detailed insights into their consumption, broken down by macro-categories and individual appliances, helping them identify which devices are driving up their bills.
